4-Axis Robotic Arm Making Coffee with an Automatic Vending Machine:
1.Order Selection:
The process begins when the customer selects their preferred coffee from the vending machine interface, such as espresso, cappuccino, or latte.
2.Bean Dispensing and Grinding:
The 4-axis robotic arm picks the selected coffee beans from the machine’s bean hopper and places them into the grinder. The arm ensures that the right amount of beans is dispensed, and the grinder finely grinds them based on the selected coffee type.
3.Adding Ice Cubes:
If the customer has chosen an iced coffee or cold brew option, the robotic arm proceeds to the ice compartment. The arm picks up the ice cubes and carefully drops them into the cup, ensuring the correct quantity for the perfect chill. The arm positions the cup to avoid spillage, adding the ice with precision.
4.Adding Fresh Milk:
For drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, or iced coffee, the robotic arm moves to the fresh milk dispenser. It picks up the milk jug and positions it under the dispenser, carefully pouring the milk into the cup. The arm ensures that the milk is added in the correct proportion to the coffee, based on the selected drink. The milk can be cold for iced coffee or at an optimal temperature for hot drinks.
5.Making Milk Foam:
For drinks requiring milk foam (such as cappuccinos or lattes), the robotic arm then moves to the milk frothing station. The arm places the milk jug under the steam wand, activates the frothing process, and steams the milk to create the perfect frothy texture. The robotic arm ensures that the milk is frothed to the desired density, whether the customer wants a light foam or a thick, creamy foam.
6.Closing the Cup Lid:
Once the milk is added and frothed (if necessary), the robotic arm places the cup under a lid dispenser. The arm carefully places a lid onto the cup, ensuring it’s securely closed without spillage. For hot drinks, the arm may also adjust the lid to create a small opening for sipping.
7.Handing Out the Drink:
After the cup is fully prepared, the robotic arm moves it to the designated serving area or delivery window. The arm gently places the finished cup in a position where the customer can easily retrieve it. The arm may also activate a mechanism to notify the customer that their coffee is ready.
